69th Annual Conference of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists

Symposia covering the topics of antibiotics and resistance in the context of animal production and public health, antibiotic alternatives, the influence of climate change on vector-borne infectious diseases and emerging pathogens, and microbiota and microbial interactions in molecular pathogenesis will be presented. Recent developments in environmental and applied microbiology will be addressed in sessions covering the topics of industrial microorganisms and biotechnology, plants and microorganisms, environmental microbiomes, the microbial chemosphere and food microbiology. Finally, two sessions will be dedicated to systems biology and synthetic biology, two hot topics that have gained prominence in microbiology in recent years.
